Today I am quite reflective... I am writing a proposal to study the effects weight has on self-esteem. I find this subject fascinating because it a issue close to my heart. Yes I am woman that is currently on diet, but who isn't ha ha ha.
I want to dedicate my life to purseuing my passion for helping women regain their self esteem and love the face that stares back at them. This is a journey I am willing to take not only for myself but with others. As I watch tv, read statstics, talk to friends and search for centers that target this issue Oklahoma I realize there is a real problem. More or less a disconnect.
When did the numbers on our scale define our identity? When did overweight people become second class citizens? When did it become okay not to treat everyone with respect?
Before I go my rant, I will move on.... As you can see my passion has shown her face.
Well I have decided to lose some weight for the sake of self and research. So we will see. I am giving myself the rest of year to lose 30lbs. Stay posted...
For the record here are my stats
Date: 2/21/2008
